There's nothing I love crocheting more than afghans!

And more than that, baby afghans!

This has been a GREAT year for my favorite project.  Three babies in 2017.  And all three were girls, which means I could get as floral as I wanted to.

The first was for my cousin's granddaughter, Noelle.  I very rarely make clothing items, but thought I'd get adventurous and make a little sweater to go with it.  The Baby Sweater Pattern I used was really cute, and the Daisy Flower Applique kind of tied it into the theme of the little blanket pattern I used.

Yay!  Flowers!

Next, my youngest son requested a red baby blanket for one of his co-workers.

This one was a lot of fun to make.  Following an idea from my friend, Michelle, I used the Charity Daisy Square alternating with a plain old granny square.

New mom loved it!  She said the red flowers made the baby laugh!  What could be better than that?

Then my oldest son's boss had a baby girl. . . so another floral baby afghan was born.

Jan Eaton's Willow Square has always been one of my favorites, and I wanted to make something with yellow, gray and white and so this blanket was born.

Funnest thing about this one?  Not only was the baby's middle name Gray, her nursery was yellow and gray!  Talk about an amazing coincidences!

All in all, really happy with my baby blankets. . . now to make a grown up sized one!  Just have to figure out who to make it for.  All of my friends are already cocooned in afghans!
